SGT PERTH Coach & Parent Code of Conduct
As a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu coach or parent, I understand the importance of setting a positive example. My actions and attitude can have a lasting impact on the athletes around me, especially the next generation.

I will encourage fair play and sportsmanship.

I will treat other coaches, parents, athletes, and supporters with respect and courtesy.

I will respect and follow the rules and understand they are there to keep everyone safe and ensure a smooth event.

I’ll do my part to represent the sport in a positive light.

I will strive to act with honesty, fairness, and integrity.

Coach & Parent Guidelines at SGT PERTH Events

For athletes in the Mighty Mite and Pee Wee divisions, one guardian is permitted inside the barricade area to support them.

Each mat will have two designated seats near the scorekeeper’s table for coaches.
Coaches and parents are expected to:

Be responsible for their athlete’s conduct during the event.

Use their time in the competition area to encourage, instruct, and support their athlete.

Coaches must stay seated during the match and focus communication solely on their athlete. Parents must not interfere with coaches or referees during the match.

Avoid any interaction with referees during the match.
-
Refrain from any inappropriate language, gestures, or physical actions toward referees, opponents, officials, or spectators.

Respect all equipment and areas of the event space.

Dress Code

A t-shirt or suitable top must be worn inside the venue at all times.

Clothing with inappropriate language, imagery, or themes is not permitted.

The event team reserves the right to ask individuals to change garments deemed unsuitable.

Enforcement & Penalties
If any part of this code is not followed, event staff may restrict access to the competition area. In more serious or repeated situations, individuals may face further action, including suspension from future events.
